BEASTARS manga author Paru Itagaki previously said the series’ ending was in sight, and now we know just how much longer it has left. As revealed in the latest issue of Weekly Shonen Champion magazine, BEASTARS has just three chapters left, so it will likely come to an end as early as next month.
Itagaki marked the occasion with a special illustration on Twitter:
In related news, the BEASTARS anime adaptation has a newcomer to the cast. This time it’s Yuki Kaji (Eren in Attack on Titan), who will be voicing the mysterious freshman known as Pina. According to Kaji, he was already a fan of BEASTARS before the anime was announced.
The second season of BEASTARS is set to premiere in January 2021.
