Martha Jones once had her heart set on a law career.
“I thought I wanted to go to law school post-undergrad, but I wanted to get some experience working,” said the 27-year-old. After graduating from Temple University in Philadelphia, she moved to Washington, D.C., and worked first as a legal aide, then as a recruiter for a corporate law firm. By the fall of 2017, she said, “I realized I wasn’t happy at my job. I realized I didn’t want to go to law school. I just knew that wasn’t the career path for me.”
