The much-anticipated announcement was made during the BJP legislature party meeting held at the party’s Delhi office on Wednesday, February src9. The meeting, attended by BJP MLAs and leaders, saw the election of the Leader of the House, who will take on the role of Delhi’s new Chief Minister.
The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Parliamentary Board has appointed MP and former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and BJP National Secretary Om Prakash Dhankar as Central Observers for the election of the Leader of the Legislative Party in Delhi, according to an official press release.
Delhi Traffic Police have issued a traffic advisory for February 20 due to the swearing-in ceremony at Ramlila Maidan, expecting a large gathering. Traffic diversions and restrictions will be in place from 7 am to 4 pm at key routes, including Subhash Park T-point, Raj Ghat, ITO, Ajmeri Gate, and others.
Commuters are advised to use the Paharganj side for New Delhi Railway Station, opt for public transport, and park only in designated areas to ease congestion.
