With the explosion of digital watches nowadays having a watch band accessory business is a great option. You can easily take it to a all out accessory business all online if done right
To do this right you will need the necessities of starting a business.
- Get your ein which is free on IRS.gov
- Decide if your going to do a LLC or corp
- Get your website and hosting. I personally would go with hostgator
- Find a wholesale provider of watch bands. The only legit one I’ve found is Alibaba but I’m pretty sure its more out there.
- Get a Amazon account thats so you can send your product for FBA (Fulfillment By Amazon) This will help you get traffic and sales while your getting your website up and running. You don’t want to only depend on Amazon or any other site for sales.
- Create a Instagram account. You can easily show off your products with pictures and make sales through your followers.
- Start building a email list thats so you can start having a direct way to your customers to make sales. You never know when a social media site will not be as popular any more. So you build this email list with optin pages and free give aways of some sort. - Outsource With Fiverr.com This is one of the most cost effective way to make your business work for you and not you work for your business. You can outsource damn near anything you need done through Fiverr and other sites like upwork. This is an awesome way to free up some of your time.
- Get Exclusive Watch Bands to sell. Its cool to dropship from sites like Alibaba but its also great to outsource some cool designs from other artists, I would look on Etsy and see if any one was selling one of a kind watch bands. Maybe work out a deal to have them create some exclusively for your watch band brand.
- Expand into other accessories like bracelets and things. Maybe get into selling full blown watches and things of that nature.
