The answer is it all depends who you ask. Some marketers say yes and some marketers say no. I feel like it all depends what your marketing and the customer your marketing to.
Everyday people are getting older and used to online marketing ads.
Some things are appealing to older crowds and some are appealing to younger aged crowds. This is just facts and Facebook’s crowd is getting older not younger.
According to Forbes, 41% of its users are over the age of 65. While it is by no means struggling, it’s clear that Facebook is losing ground with the younger demographics, who tend to prefer the more visual, interactive experiences offered by Instagram, Snapchat, and the rising star, TikTok.
Also Facebook will kill your marketing posts with there sophisticated algorithm so the only way to really to gain any results is with paid marketing. No longer are the days when you could post about your business on Facebook without them killing the post. When I say kill the post I mean less then 5% of the people that follow you will see it.
Among of other issues with the Facebook’s platform one of the most annoying is the messenger feature. The constant spamming and direct marketing in the messenger is where your marketing efforts can truly fail.
So i know your question what do you do as a online marketer that doesn’t have a big budget for paid marketing and you want success fast. I say focus marketing video content. You don’t have to just focus on Youtube either. You can upload to Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok. One video post draw attention and 4 different social media platforms. Without feeling like your spamming.
To wrap this up yes Facebook is dead for certain niches to market their products because its losing ground with the younger crowd aka Gen z. So make sure you do your research and know who you need to market your products to.
