The first trailer for the TV anime adaptation of Gege Akutami‘s Weekly Shonen Jump manga Jujutsu Kaisen was finally released today, giving fans a good finger on the pulse of what to expect from this long-awaited series. Alongside the trailer, the staff was announced, as were some additional cast members, and the upcoming October release date.

Helming the adaptation at anime studio MAPPA is director Sunghoo Park (Garo -Vanishing Line-, upcoming The God of High School TV anime), with series composition and screenplay written by Hiroshi Seko (Mob Psycho 100, Attack on Titan) and character designs by Tadashi Hiramatsu (Yuri!!! on ICE, Parasyte -the maxim-). Handling the music will be Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Yoshimasa Terui, and Arisa Okehazama.
It was also announced that Junichi Suwabe (Shota Aizawa in My Hero Academia) will be voicing the character of Sukuna.

Previously, it was announced that Junya Enoki (Pannacotta Fugo in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) will be voicing the 15-year-old protagonist Yuji Itadori, Yuma Uchida (Kyo Soma in Fruits Basket) will be voicing Megumi Fushiguro, and Asami Seto (Mai Sakurajima in Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai) will be playing Nobara Kugisaki.
Viz Media has licensed the manga series for an English speaking audience, releasing the manga chapters as it comes out in Japan. They describe the first volume as such:

Jujutsu Kaisen is scheduled to broadcast starting in October during the “Super Animeism” block on MBS, TBS, and their affiliates on Friday nights.
