It’s been a long time since we first heard word of the side-scrolling Record of Lodoss War game. We posted about it back in 2018, and now it’s finally on the way as Record of Lodoss War – Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth –. It was previously stated that it would be taking heavy inspiration from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and that’s more than abundantly clear in the early access promo.
Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a full-on Metroidvania that’s due out via Steam Early Access on March 13. The story will fill in some of the gaps from the latest novel in the series, as Deedlit explores a sprawling labyrinth and runs into other characters from the series. While there won’t be any voice acting, the game will support English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese text.
