Ripple minted 8srcsrc,026 RLUSD on the XRP Ledger on August 6. The issuance increased the supply of its US dollar-backed stablecoin. XRPScan data showed that the transaction completed successfully under ledger src06,src09,03src that same day.
XRPScan records placed the confirmation time at 7:37 IST on the same date. The entire amount moved through a successful payment transaction to the destination account listed by the explorer. Ripple issued the tokens from the designated RLUSD issuer account.

How Ripple Authorized the 8srcsrc,026 RLUSD Mint on XRPL
The transaction used a three-signer multisignature configuration to authorize the new token issuance. It cost exactly 0.000405 XRP to process on the ledger. The designated destination account received all 8srcsrc,026 RLUSD, with no reduction to the delivered amount.
Ripple has not publicly explained the exact purpose of the latest RLUSD issuance. Stablecoin issuers commonly mint new tokens to meet customer demand or provide exchange liquidity. New units may also support institutional settlements, treasury management, and customer issuance requests.
The mint follows the rapid growth that RLUSD has recorded on the XRP Ledger in recent months. In July, the asset exceeded 50% of the total stablecoin supply available across XRPL. That milestone made Ripple’s token the network’s largest stablecoin by overall supply.

Trading activity involving RLUSD has also increased as its supply expanded on the network. Previous reports placed cumulative trading volume above $2.5 billion since launch. Its rising supply has moved Ripple’s asset ahead of competing stablecoins on the XRP Ledger.
The growth in RLUSD supply coincides with a larger trend of increased activity among stablecoins in the crypto space.
What Will Shape RLUSD Adoption Across the XRP Ledger?
Dollar-pegged cryptocurrencies, such as USDT and USDC, also operate with various blockchain networks. Their users employ them in transactions involving trading liquidity, digital payments, and blockchain-based finance applications.
Nevertheless, greater supply is not a guarantee for the success of stablecoins and their continued adoption.
Stablecoins compete based on factors like liquidity, availability at exchanges, their regulatory status, and practical use in the marketplace. User support plays an important role in the adoption of stablecoins.
For the XRP Ledger, RLUSD’s rise has changed the network’s stablecoin market. In August, 8srcsrc,026 RLUSD were minted after rapid growth.
Future adoption will depend upon continued integration of the stablecoin by users, exchanges, and applications in the coming months.
